I came across something from my favorite writer, Ernest Hemingway:
Life is unpredictable,
It changes with the seasons,
Even your coldest winter,
Happens for the best of reasons,
And though it feels eternal,
Like all you’ll ever do is freeze,
I promise spring is coming
And with it, brand new leaves.
This small poem reminded me of not only the fact that earlier this week we had 60 degree weather here and now we are suffering the weather change with 30 degree weather, but also of life and caregivers. In particular, this week, there have been some caregivers we have met who are feeling that this is the coldest of winters and are in need of some sort of respite. I envision, with our help, we can love and care for their loved ones and see that spring IS coming and with it, new leaves.
